Welding Course Preparation Test

This course has been developed to equip industry technicians with a thorough understanding of MIG, MAG and spot welding in order to achieve complete and safe repairs that ensure the vehicle is restored to its original condition.

This course will also count towards I-CAR qualifications.

Major collision damage requires a greater level of expertise to repair.

And… welding is one of the most critical skills necessary in completing that repair safely, while maintaining vehicle integrity and meeting manufacturer’s specifications.

Even if you have been welding for a number of years, have you kept up with the changes in materials and welding techniques?

Poor welds can lead to part failure and compromised safety for the passengers in the vehicle.

Ensure your customers and business are protected by training your staff in the latest and best techniques for welding metals, plastics and fibreglass.

This one-day course provides technicians with a thorough understanding of MIG, MAG and spot welding in order to achieve complete and safe repairs that ensure the vehicle is restored to its original condition.

All candidates that participate in this course need to demonstrate competency in:

  • Machine setup of the MIG and MAG welding equipment
  • Weld defect identification and correction
  • How welds will be visually and destructively tested for qualification
