Work-Ready, First-Year Apprentices Available Now!

The MTA GTO has received a high number of applications for apprenticeships across light vehicle, heavy vehicle, automotive body repair and automotive refinishing trades.

Our current apprentices are ready and eager to be placed at your automotive business. At no cost to you, this is an excellent chance for you to trial a young person in your workplace.

  • All MTA apprentices have been interviewed and screened
  • Each apprentice will come with their own PPE and tool kit
  • The MTA can provide a free, no obligation, work trial for one week

If you are interested in hosting an apprentice, please email Jason Polgreen (General Manager Apprentice Employment Services) at jpolgreen@mtasant.com.au.

MTA Job Ready Program

The MTA has also launched a ‘Job Ready’, 2-day program, to assist applicants with limited automotive experience. This will equip them with a foundational skillset, easing their transition to the workforce. Applicants will be provided with knowledge of WHS, hand tools, hoist operation and vehicle service tasks. Upon completion, they will be available to you to trial for a further week at no cost.

Paint and Panel Careers Information Night

In November, the MTA will host an educational evening for parents and students of Catholic and Independent schools to highlight training and career opportunities in the Paint and Panel trade. The evening will present an excellent opportunity to showcase the paint and panel trades with live demonstrations and interactive activities. If you would like to be part of the event as a presenter on the night, please contact Jason Polgreen to enquire.
