The 96th Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on the evening of 29 September, where we honoured our milestone members, inducted a new life member and welcomed a new MTA Board member.

The AGM was also an important opportunity to reflect on the 2021-22 financial year and the association’s advocacy, training and services for members and industry.

The MTA would like to thank the members and business partners who attended the event, and extend a big congratulations to those who were recognised at the meeting.

MTA Board election results

The following members were confirmed by the Australian Electoral Commission as being successfully elected to the Board for a term of two years:

• Peter Roberts - OG Roberts & Co; re-elected
• Clive Polley - Independent Components; re-elected
• Mark Flynn - Coast Powersports; new Board Member

They will join Frank Agostino, Neville Gibb, John Hitchcock, and Mark McGuire who remain on the Board. Thank you also to retiring Board Member Tom Skothos from Pro Paint ‘n Panel for your service.

A stalwart of our industry, Frank Agostino was awarded Life Membership of the MTA. Frank is synonymous with the association, having been heavily active for more than three decades. His unrivalled commitment is testament to his drive and his can-do attitude which he has brought to his roles across the organisation, including his current position as Chair.
