Introducing Michele, a skilled light vehicle apprentice who has dedicated his time and expertise to modifying his prized possession, a 1981 Toyota Hilux RN41 SR5, the premium model of its time. With custom additions such as an aluminum tray, authentic Toyota Hilux steelies, and a sleek black bumper, Michele is turning his cherished vehicle into a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
Driven by a tight budget and the challenge of finding parts for this model, Michele sourced another Ute to swap parts off, acquiring a bumper and tub to enhance his Hilux's appearance. He executed a wheels, engine, and gearbox swap, along with suspension upgrades and the addition of fog lights.

What sets Michele's mod of the month apart is his vision of transforming his Hilux into a Bharat trophy truck-inspired design. This ambitious project involves extensive suspension upgrades, including long travel arms, long travel rears, tail shafts, coils, and cage upgrades. Michele's determination to create a standout vehicle fuels his pursuit.
Michele embraces the uniqueness of his truck with its three different colors and attention-grabbing features. The bench seats, zip tied radio, and original steering wheel add to its vintage charm. And although there are still some fixes to be made, Michele takes pride in the immaculate condition of the dash.
Beyond his passion for modifying vehicles, Michele's career aspirations lie in the motorsport industry. With dreams of participating in amateur races and potentially pursuing heavy diesel and recovery work, Michele envisions a future where his skills and love for cars converge. Whether it's working on drag cars, classics, or even boats and motorbikes, he finds joy in the variety offered by his placement at L.A. Motor Repairs.
We eagerly anticipate his future updates as he continues to modify his car!
