Several MTA Divisions recently met to discuss industry challenges and opportunities. Among other issues, at the Towing Services Division Annual General Meeting the risk of fires associated with storing electric vehicles was raised, increasing the recognition of tow plates to members of the public and authorities was discussed and modernising the process to dispose of abandoned vehicles was questioned.
At the Independent Bus and Coach Operators (IBCO) Division Meeting, members discussed at length about vehicle inspections as well as unregulated operators which are undercutting accredited busses.
Both meetings focused on important industry challenges and opportunities, aiming to improve safety, efficiency, and sustainability in their respective sectors. Collaboration among members, regulatory bodies, and industry stakeholders is crucial in addressing these issues.
